Membrane components play a decisive role here, and their microporous structure can effectively trap microorganisms, suspended particles, colloidal substances in activated sludge and sewage, preventing them from flowing out with the water, a step that ensures high transparency and low suspended solids content of the effluent. At the same time, the membrane components also play a good role in the interception of some macromolecular organic compounds that are difficult to biodegrade, so as to achieve the in-depth treatment of domestic sewage.

In addition, another advantage of the MBR hollow fiber curtain membrane is its efficient control of the biological phase. Due to the limiting effect of membrane separation, a high concentration of microorganisms can be maintained in the reactor, thus improving the biodegradation rate and treatment effect, especially the removal efficiency of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Moreover, the separation of the membrane allows the sludge age to be controlled flexibly, avoiding the problem of sludge swelling in the traditional process.

During operation, microbial adhesion and clogging on the membrane surface can be prevented by continuous aeration, while maintaining biological activity. When necessary, the backwashing method is used to clean the membrane surface to ensure the stability of the membrane flux and extend the service life of the membrane.
